Position Details

Institution: Université Paris 8 – IFG Lab
Location: Campus Condorcet, Saint-Denis, France
Duration: 24 months, full-time (35.5h/week)
Start date: September 1, 2025
Salary: €3,300 gross/month

? This position is part of the ERC Advanced Grant DATAROUTES, led by Frédérick Douzet. It is the most prestigious academic research program in Europe, supporting cutting-edge and high-impact research.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on Internet sanctions and international and European law

  • Publish academic and outreach articles

  • Participate in academic and policy events (conferences, workshops, symposia)

  • Develop strategic policy recommendations

  • Organize conferences to disseminate research findings

Profile Sought

  • PhD in public international law or European law with a focus on digital issues

  • Strong command of sanctions law, international human rights law, or telecommunications law

  • Deep understanding of the Internet connectivity ecosystem

  • Experience in public policy (a plus)

  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage short- and mid-term projects

  • Excellent command of English (French is a plus)
